Why deep4sol
Every tool is designed to answer one practical question: how much, how many, or how much will it cost.
Answers update as you type. No sign-up, no waiting and no email required.
Only ask for numbers you can actually find or measure. Sensible defaults fill in the rest.
Feet, inches, yards, metres, pounds, kilograms and more, mixed freely in the same form.
Results come in the units you actually buy or use, such as tons, bags, sheets, rolls or dollars.
Your numbers stay in your browser. We do not store what you type.
Fast on phones, tablets and desktops, so you can use it on site or at home.

Pounds to Stone ConverterAbout deep4sol
Most practical questions have a clear answer: how much gravel, how many sheets of drywall, how much salt for the pool, or what a weight is in another unit. Getting that answer wrong costs time and money. Order too little and the job stops while you wait for a second delivery. Order too much and you pay for material you will never use.
deep4sol is a free library of online calculators and converters built to give you that number quickly, in a form you can act on.
Our tools fall into a few simple groups:
We add new tools regularly. Finance, health, math and everyday calculators are next, so the library keeps growing with the questions people actually ask.
Homeowners use deep4sol to plan a patio, fence or first drywall job, and to sanity-check a contractor's quote. Trades and small builders use it for quick takeoffs on site. Buyers and estimators use it to turn a drawing into a purchase order. Students and everyday users use it to convert units and check sums without hunting for formulas.
Small errors grow fast once they are multiplied through a volume. One extra inch of depth across a 20 by 30 foot driveway adds about 1.85 cubic yards of stone, which is roughly two and a half tons. That can be the difference between one delivery and two.
For the best results, measure the finished size you actually want. Split irregular areas into rectangles and calculate each one separately. Where a product is sold in fixed units, such as pallets, bundles, bags or rolls, round up to what you can buy. Every deep4sol calculator does that rounding for you.
Each tool uses standard industry formulas and typical product sizes, and states its assumptions clearly on the page. Densities, coverage rates and product sizes vary between suppliers, so treat every result as a well-founded estimate and confirm it against the spec sheet for the exact product you are buying.
Always growing
deep4sol started with construction and home improvement, and it keeps expanding. Finance, health, math and everyday calculators are on the way. If there is a calculation you do often and cannot find a good tool for, tell us and we will consider building it.
